Meet Porchcrawler (aka Mr. Crawley) – your future best friend.
This blonde, streamlined guy is like a greyhound with a little extra padding and a side of goofy charm. With a staghound x greyhound mama and Wolfhound x Mastiff papa, Mr Crawley definitely leans into his greyhound roots – think smiles, chatter, and speed.
He’s not exactly aerodynamic, but that doesn’t stop him from doing the most endearing jump-ups to try and pick fruit off trees. It’s not graceful, but it’s pure heart. He’s the kind of dog who will make you laugh with every move and keep you entertained with his goofy antics. He’s basically a walking, wagging comedy show, and you’ll love every second of it.
Mr. Crawley grew up in the calm countryside of Victoria, so while he’s used to the quiet life, he’s totally open to a little more excitement. He might need some time and gentle guidance to adjust to the hustle and bustle of suburban life, but with a heart as big as his goofy grin, he’s well worth the patience.
BEFORE you read Porchcrawler’s adoption criteria it is extremely important that potential adopters give great thought and communicate in their adoption application as to what their home set up and routine plan is for the first few weeks/months if they are the successful adopter of this most precious doggo. Porchcrawler cannot be settled in over just a weekend and then left on a Monday home alone while you return to work… There needs to be a plan outlined so that his foster family can feel assured that he is going to be set up for success in his new home.
ADOPTION CRITERIA
Deal breakers:
– Any family considering Porchcrawler must be committed to ongoing training to ensure that this regal scruff continues to blossom into her best self
– Daily exercise and a good diet is essential to making sure this leggy lad lives a long and happy life
– It is not negotiable that Porchcrawler’s new forever family stay in contact with LoP Rescue and his foster family. This sweet baby is a very special boy and we hope to stay in his life to support him and his family and see what he achieves.
Non deal breakers:
– A family or human who is home more than not, especially for the first few weeks of adoption so Porchcrawler can settle in.
– Another dog friend would be ideal, having grown up surrounded by many a fur siblings however it’s not essential provided he has adequate human company
HEALTH
All of the hounds are in excellent health. They have all been desexed and fully vaccinated, they eat a premium diet and enjoy daily exercise with no issues at all!

**Located in foster care in Victoria, Porchcrawler is available for interstate adoption however this comes with the firm understanding that if an interstate candidate is successful, Porchcrawler’s new family will need to come to HQ to complete adoption paperwork and travel home with him. Interstate candidates please see above in deal breakers/non-deal breakers. Video footage of yard & home will also need to be provided along with the agreement to a possible home check by a local Life of Pikelet rescue volunteer.
