Meet Pinot Grigio – the smallest of the boys and your future scruffy son! This petite 20kg bundle of joy may have shorter legs, but he’s big on personality, a chatty Kathy if you will, Pinot has thoughts and opinions and wants to talk about them and we’re always keen to listen.
Grigio is a total sweetheart, not at all a bossy guy, but definitely the most affectionate of the crew. He’s got a distinct mane of scruff which gives him a little wild boy vibe. When he’s not busy chirping away or trying persuade a little smooch from his people, you’ll find him happily playing with his siblings or lounging around like the tiny prince he is. His little legs may be shorter, but his heart? Enormous.
Despite his impressive lineage (staghound x greyhound mama + Wolfhound x Mastiff papa), Grigio is all about the cuddles, with zero interest in being a ‘hunter’ …he’s low on the prey drive scale and loves sharing his food with the local wildlife (we’re talking magpies here, folks). He’s friendly with everyone, from dogs to deer to ponies, did someone say perfect package?
Now, here’s the thing – while Pinot Grigio is the perfect pint-sized companion, he’s also a true mummy’s boy who loves attention. He’ll need some extra love and attention during his transition into a new home, and it’s important that his new family has a clear plan for him during those first few weeks. He can’t be dropped off for a weekend and left alone on Monday – he needs consistency and patience to settle in and truly shine.
BEFORE you read Pinot Grigio’s adoption criteria it is extremely important that potential adopters give great thought and communicate in their adoption application as to what their home set up and routine plan is for the first few weeks/months if they are the successful adopter of this most precious doggo. Pinot Grigio cannot be settled in over just a weekend and then left on a Monday home alone while you return to work… There needs to be a plan outlined so that his foster family can feel assured that he is going to be set up for success in his new home.
ADOPTION CRITERIA
Deal breakers:
– Committed to ongoing training and support to help Grigio continue being the best version of himself.
– Daily exercise and a healthy diet are a must to keep this little guy happy and healthy.
– It is not negotiable that Pinot Grigio’s new forever family stay in contact with LoP Rescue and his foster family. This sweet baby is a very special boy and we hope to stay in his life to support him and his family and see what he achieves.
Non deal breakers:
– A family or human who’s home more often than not, especially in the first few weeks.
– Another dog friend would be ideal – Pinot Grigio’s used to lots of company – but as long as there’s enough human love, he’ll do just fine.
HEALTH
All of the hounds are in excellent health. They have all been desexed and fully vaccinated, they eat a premium diet and enjoy daily exercise with no issues at all!
