Meet Plum Wine – or as we like to call her, Wino, the queen of luxury and the embodiment of regal elegance. Picture this: you, strolling through her gardens as she follows behind with a majestic, slow-motion tail wag, her dark brindle coat gleaming in the sunlight. Every step she takes exudes royalty, and suddenly, you’re a 18th-century princess (or prince) basking in her divine presence.
Plum Wine’s affection is like a fine wine – smooth, soothing, and perfectly timed. She’s the type of dog who’ll curl up beside you on the couch, melt into you, and become the cozy, comforting presence you never knew you needed. No need for dramatic puppy kisses – she’s all about that chill, “I’m here for the snuggles, but I’ll leave the drama to the other dogs” kind of love.
This majestic girl is well-socialised with dogs, deer, and ponies – basically, Snow White in dog form. She’s yet to meet any cats, but with a controlled intro, we’re confident she’ll add them to her royal circle too.
Having grown up in the serene, laid-back countryside of Victoria, Plum Wine is accustomed to a quiet, sedate life, but she’s open to a little more action. It might take some patience and gentle guidance for her to adjust to the hustle and bustle of a suburban home, but in return, you’ll get a sophisticated companion who’s as low-key as she is luxurious.
BEFORE you read Plum Wine’s adoption criteria it is extremely important that potential adopters give great thought and communicate in their adoption application as to what their home set up and routine plan is for the first few weeks/months if they are the successful adopter of this most precious doggo. Plum Wine cannot be settled in over just a weekend and then left on a Monday home alone while you return to work… There needs to be a plan outlined so that her foster family can feel assured that she is going to be set up for success in her new home.
ADOPTION CRITERIA
Deal breakers:
– Any family considering Plum Wine must be committed to ongoing training to ensure that this regal scruff continues to blossom into her best self
– Daily exercise and a good diet is essential to making sure this leggy lady lives a long and happy life
– It is not negotiable that Plum Wine’s new forever family stay in contact with LoP Rescue and her foster family. This sweet baby is a very special girl and we hope to stay in her life to support her and her family and see what she achieves.
Non deal breakers:
– A family or human who is home more than not, especially for the first few weeks of adoption so Plum Wine can settle in.
– Another dog friend would be ideal, having grown up surrounded by many a fur siblings however it’s not essential provided she has adequate human company
HEALTH
All of the hounds are in excellent health. They have all been desexed and fully vaccinated, they eat a premium diet and enjoy daily exercise with no issues at all!

**Located in foster care in Victoria, Plum Wine is available for interstate adoption however this comes with the firm understanding that if an interstate candidate is successful, Plum Wine’s new family will need to come to HQ to complete adoption paperwork and travel home with him. Interstate candidates please see above in deal breakers/non-deal breakers. Video footage of yard & home will also need to be provided along with the agreement to a possible home check by a local Life of Pikelet rescue volunteer.
